The closed cell IXPE foam is 3.8cm thick and comes in an egg box structure (think goose not quail) that supports and insulated whilst keeping weight down. The fold out design is easy use in the field and makes for rapid deployment when you get to camp. With an R-value of 2.2 it can be used by itself during warmer months in an ultralight sleep set up or as extra insulation and puncture protection under your winter mat for cold weather adventures.
